Fly fishing was something of a fanatic obsession with my family. I am a third generation fly fisherman. I grew up in the shadow of Yosemite National Park. Within two hours drive, there is more fishing than a person can do in a lifetime. I caught and landed my first trout when I was four years old.

Every Sunday before dinner, the men of my family would gather outside in the yard and cast under the watchful eye of my grandfather. My grandfather , who was our patriarch of fly fishing, always with a new rod or line/rod combo for us to demonstrate our abilities.
